Our Pre-school has a play based curriculum based on the interests of the children. We have activities based on topics and continuous provision free play activities for children. Our Curriculum is based on the Dept For Education Early Years Foundation Stage Framework in the following areas:-

Our Pre-school uses a Dept of Education recommended scheme called "Leterland" to help children develop early reading and literacy skills. Letterland is a unique, phonics-based approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling to 3-8 year olds. The Letterland characters transform plain black letter shapes into child-friendly pictograms and they all live in an imaginary place called Letterland.
Each child's individual development is monitored and extended by key workers, who plan the curriculum to develop all children. All children have an individual "Learning Journey Booklet" which contain photographs, examples of work and key worker comments on your child's learning and development. We value Parents contribution to this booklet.
Pre-school activities include art, crafts, cooking, homecare corner, book corner, puzzles, playdough, dressing up, science activities, cycling bikes, climbing and sliding, games, singing, rhymes, Letterland phonics, counting, story time, dancing, ITC, outings, snack time, cars, trains, dolls house, zoo animals, sand, water, messy sensory play and much more.
From 1 July 2015 the Prevent duty became law. This is a duty on all schools and registered early years providers to have due regard to preventing people being drawn into terrorism.
British values are a set of four values introduced to help keep children safe and promote their welfare – it is the duty of all providers following the EYFS to have these as underpinning core values.
