December
We heard bells and Santa came to visit with a sack full of presents. All the children got a hand knitted by a grandmother elf present.
We had a lovely Christmas display, sang carols for the senior group in the Church Hall, di a shoe box appeal for the homeless in Watford and had a nativity in the Church which parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles attending.
Easter
The Easter Bunny visited and left a basket of knitted chicks with eggs inside them for each child. He also hid some Easter eggs in the garden for the children to find.
Chinese New year;
We celebrated by cooking a chinese sir fry on a wok and all the children ate in chinese bowls with chop sticks. We danced to chines music and made chinese lanterns and dragons.
Book Share Scheme bags. Children are encouraged to choose a book to take home in the bag to share with parents.
We celebrated Diwali with food, dancing and looked at lights.
We celebrated St Patrick's day by making Irish soda bread and eating it at snack time. We looked at a shamrock and did dancing to Irish music.
We had a visit from a hedgehog rescued by the local vet.
